Bring Us Your Expired Medications

Eighty (80) pounds of unwanted medication were collected at the Village of Oswego’s Community Recycling Day on April 13.

These medications were then disposed of safely and properly.  This program is offered for free in our lobby and at community events throughout the year.

Fox Metro would like to thank the local residents for not flushing their unused medications down their toilets.  Medicines that are flushed or poured down the drain can end up polluting the Fox River, impacting aquatic plants and animals, and contaminating our local food and water supplies.  Most medicines are not able to be fully treated by wastewater treatment plants.  Using a medicine take-back program is a free and easy way to reduce the amount of pharmaceuticals entering the environment.
